Location: Cooinda aged care, Gympie, QLD 
Casual Position | ~ 8 shifts per fortnight
Remuneration: $45.32 per hour (Includes casual loading) + Super + Salary Packaging + Employee Assistance Program  
 

 

If you love bringing people together through creativity, connection and meaningful experiences, this role is for you. As a Creative Lifestyle Facilitator, you’ll enrich the daily lives of residents through engaging activities that foster joy, confidence and wellbeing. Working closely with the Creative Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll help shape programs that feel purposeful, personalised and fun.

About You

You’re warm, engaging and passionate about using creativity to enhance quality of life. You enjoy working with older people, understand diverse abilities, and bring enthusiasm to every interaction. Ideally, you have:

  • Specialisation in one or more creative areas such as storytelling, music, writing, visual arts or dance
  • Experience engaging people with varying physical or cognitive abilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire
  • Experience facilitating group activities and one‑on‑one engagement
  • Willingness to learn about dementia and creative engagement approaches

A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check, and a Queensland Driver Licence
Desirable: First Aid Certificate, Certificate III in Aged Care or Lifestyle, or experience in aged care

 

About the Role

This role focuses on delivering creative, purposeful and enjoyable activities that support residents’ social and emotional wellbeing. You will:

  • Plan and deliver creative activities and outings tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
  • Build rapport to personalise activities and ensure meaningful engagement
  • Document attendance and progress notes for residents participating in activities
  • Seek feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of the lifestyle program
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator and Chaplain to align activities with resident needs and Lutheran ethos
  • Support volunteers and provide direct care activities as required
