We are seeking a skilled Grounds & Maintenance Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities through proactive maintenance and repair work. 

Location: Cooinda Aged Care, Gympie, QLD 
Remuneration: $27.12 – $29.34 per hour + Salary Packaging (up to $15,990) + Access to staff discounts & benefits.
Full Time Position - Aged care experience desirable

About The Role: 
In this hands-on role, you’ll manage the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and external cleaning
  • Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
  • Managing external contractors and minor building projects
  • Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
  • Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

About You:

  • Experience in  commercial maintenance, groundskeeping, or a similar role (preferred but not required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
  • A team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
  • Valid Police Check and Queensland Driver’s Licence
