Our Immanuel Gardens service in Buderim requires a part-time Maintenance and Grounds Officer for our Residential service.
Permanent Part time - 45.6 hours per fortnight
This role will support both our residential aged care facility and independent living community, ensuring a well-maintained and safe environment for residents and staff. Flexible working arrangements (including part-time) available for the right candidate

About the role:
As our Maintenance and Grounds Officer you will be responsible for:
- Complete maintenance of the gardens and grounds of the services including lawns and upgrading of some garden beds
- Ensure equipment and garden materials are utilised in a responsible and safe manner.
- Ensure any work undertaken is within the scope of expertise of this role
- Work to reduce risk and bring new risks to the attention of the Retirement Living Manager
- Undertaking administrative duties associated with the role.
- External contractor management and ensuring works are completed to a safe and satisfactory standard.
- Undertake general maintenance on Retirement Village buildings.
- Undertake scheduled Preventive Maintenance when required throughout the village.
- External Cleaning duties (i.e.: external building maintenance/pressure cleaning)
- Maintaining village common areas and complete audits/inspections when required.
About you:
Critical to your success in this role will be the proven ability to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience working in home or commercial gardening.
- A high level of effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Your ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
- Respect and responsiveness to client needs.
- A willingness to work with non-traditional approaches to service delivery for older people.
