Remuneration range: $35.27 - $38.48 ph + Super + Salary Packaging+ Employee discounts

Our Intercept Community Services team delivers Youth Mental Health and Disabilities Support program is designed to help young people aged 10–25 with NDIS plans to achieve their goals through mentoring and group programs. We tailor individual plans to give young people what they need, because we understand that, first and foremost, they are young people with dreams, goals, and ambitions.

The Role of a Youth Mentor (YMHADS) is to:

  • Lead and facilitate group development, coordination, and delivery of NDIS-funded group programs.
  • Provide tailored one-on-one mentoring to support young people in achieving personal goals.
  • Evaluate programs and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support and mentor young people experiencing mental health challenges or disability.
  • Facilitate group activities that promote independence, social inclusion, and skill development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other community services.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and reporting requirements.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience working or volunteering with young people (youth work, disability, or mental health setting desirable).
  • A genuine passion for helping young people thrive and achieve their goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Reliability, empathy, and a collaborative approach.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance OR Police Clearance.
  • Current QLD Driver’s Licence.
