Lutheran Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Officer to join Refuge Community Services team. This role plays a vital part in supporting women who have experienced domestic and family violence to secure safe, sustainable, and long-term housing solutions.

Location: Brisbane, QLD
Employment: Full-Time position 
Remuneration: $45.47 - $48.93 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits   

As a Housing Officer, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive support, information, advocacy, and referrals to clients seeking housing
  • Manage tenancy documentation, agreements, bonds, inspections, and condition reports
  • Coordinate property maintenance in collaboration with the Property Team and external contractors
  • Facilitate training or one-on-one sessions with clients to support tenancy success
  • Maintain accurate client records and housing data as per compliance and reporting requirements
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call roster

 About You:

  • Experience in housing, homelessness, or community services
  • Strong understanding of the barriers faced by women affected by domestic and family violence
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently
  • Working knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy processes
  • Tertiary qualification in human services or similar
  • Valid Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • QLD Driver’s Licence
  • Desirable: Experience in the homelessness or domestic and family violence sectors
