About The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, our Head Chef manages a team of Chefs, Cooks and Catering assistants. The team is responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our residents with access to a fully equipped kitchen and serving areas within a modern catering environment.

  • Provide an innovative, varied and nourishing meal service that meets resident needs and preferences
  • Create, present and serve meals in an aesthetically pleasing manner that encourages enjoyment for consumers
  • Promote and maintain a safe food environment, including the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and associated areas
  • Ensure that team practices are informed by client experience and feedback is regularly sought and provided
  • Responsibly initiate opportunities for improvement to support team effectiveness and positive client outcomes

This is a Full Time role.


About You:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to lead and influence innovation and excellence without sacrificing their nights and weekends. You will utilise your experience and knowledge, as well as the creativity you express through food, to contribute to our groundbreaking 'Happy Tables project.' This project takes a 'food-first' approach to combating malnutrition in Aged Care.

You will possess a Food Safety Supervisor Qualification, along with an understanding of the IDDSI Framework with demonstrated experience leading a high-volume kitchen catering team. You will possess a current NDIS check clearance (or are willing to obtain one), open drivers licence and have full Australian Work rights.
