- Lead the day-to-day operations of a residential aged care service
- Support and develop a diverse team of clinical, care, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational values
- Partner with residents, families, and community stakeholders to build strong, respectful relationships
- Oversee budgets, service performance, care quality, and continuous improvement
- Drive team engagement and a positive workplace culture
- Collaborate with Support Centre and chaplaincy teams to uphold Lutheran Services’ ethos of compassion and dignity
About You:
Whether you’re a clinically qualified professional or an experienced operational leader in aged care, what matters most is your ability to lead with empathy, drive quality outcomes, and foster a culture of respect and continuous improvement.
- Experience in residential aged care leadership – clinical or operational
- Proven people manager with strong decision-making and communication skills
- Passion for aged care, person-centred services, and team development
- Familiar with aged care standards, funding models, and compliance systems
- Comfortable leading through change with a proactive and empathetic mindset
Position Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing
- Unrestricted Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience in Aged Care, managing a diverse team of clinical and care staff & the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
- Reasonable experience in quality processes, accreditation and evidence-based practices, identifying areas for improvement
- Experience managing business operations, budgets and finances
- Must hold a valid Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Must maintain a valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or Police check as per site requirements
