Senior Registered Nurse – Residential Aged Care

Lutheran Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Registered Nurse/ Clinical Nurse to join our Salem Aged Care team. In this role, you’ll provide clinical guidance to nursing and care staff while promoting the highest standards of wellness, engagement, and person-centred care for residents.

Remuneration:
$50.58 - $52.83/hr + on-call allowances + Super + Salary Packaging

About The Role:
As the Senior Registered Nurse, you will build strong relationships with staff, residents, stakeholders and families. The ideal candidate for this position will hold unrestricted AHPRA Registration (Nursing) and have a minimum of two years' experience working in Aged Care. You must have sound experience in wound management and clinical documentation; you must be passionate about providing exceptional care to our elderly residents.

  • Provide hands-on clinical leadership and mentoring to care teams
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Oversee medication management, clinical documentation, and direct care delivery
  • Support new resident admissions and discharges with professionalism and compassion
  • Guide and coach staff to deliver care that respects resident dignity and autonomy
  • Coordinate and manage clinical rosters and staff development reviews
  • Assist in recruitment and workforce planning with the Service Manager
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical and service planning

About You:

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Clinical leadership experience in the aged care sector
  • Strong working knowledge of AN-ACC funding and aged care accreditation
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to quality care
  • Valid Police Check OR NDIS Worker Screening
