Location: Salem Residential Aged Care - Toowoomba, Queensland
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (Monday to Friday) 


The Role:
You'll run the clinical and operational engine of our 87-bed Residential Aged Care: governance, quality, workforce, budget, and help shape what it becomes next, with expansion already on the horizon. Work alongside the Clinical Leadership Team to keep the service ahead of the Aged Care Quality Standards, not just compliant with them.


This is a genuinely hands-on role a 40% direct care minute requirement means you're on the floor as well as in the office. This leadership role suited to someone who enjoys building strong relationships with residents, families, staff and the local community. You’ll lead day-to-day operations of the residential aged care service, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred care. 

  • Clinical governance, quality reviews and audit outcomes
  • AN-ACC funding accuracy and optimisation
  • Recruitment, rostering and performance of nursing, care and operational staff
  • The service's operating budget
  • Incident, complaint and mandatory reporting response
  • Resident intake decisions and family communication
  • A culture where dignity, choice and wellbeing are non-negotiable

 What You Bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing + unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Solid Aged Care leadership experience, managing clinical and care teams
  • Strong grasp of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
  • Track record in accreditation, quality improvement and budget management
  • Experience in Dementia and Palliative Care
  • Experience in service growth, improvement initiatives or expansion planning will be highly regarded.
  • QLD Driver's Licence; valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or Police check

Nice to have: MS Office confidence, local Toowoomba/aged care networks, experience with electronic care management systems.
