Exciting Employee Relations Partner

Location: Support Centre, Milton

Are you an experienced people professional with a strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and enterprise agreements? Lutheran Services is seeking a skilled Employee Relations Partner to join our team and support our strategic goals.

Primary Objective: Implement workplace relations programs that deliver best practice solutions and achieve commercial outcomes. Empower and support line managers in people management, focusing on retaining and developing top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate advice in relation to the Fair Work Act and enterprise agreements.
  • Exercise sound judgement and coach leaders on change management, underperformance, and disciplinary matters.
  • Investigate and resolve workplace issues, conflicts, and complaints.
  • Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution discussions.
  • Develop and review performance improvement plans and formal documentation.
  • Advise on and implement consultation processes with employees and unions.
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Law or related discipline.
  • Experience with the Fair Work Act and enterprise agreements.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Valid Police Check.

Desirable:

  • Experience in health or service-oriented industries.
  • Experience managing employee relations in a unionised workforce.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders.
