Learning & Capability Advisor to support workforce capability uplift across our aged care and community services.

 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed -Term Contract (6 months) Monday to Friday, plus availability to travel to various locations within Queensland

Location: Lutheran Services Support Centre, Milton, Brisbane QLD.

 

About the role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Learning & Capability Advisor will:

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs to uplift skills of new and existing staff.
  • Partner with managers and subject matter experts to ensure training meets compliance, clinical, and organisational needs.
  • Oversee broader Learning & Development (L&D) functions, including mandatory training, professional development, and workforce capability initiatives.
  • Support the development of a learning culture that encourages growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor learning outcomes and provide insights to HR and leadership to guide workforce planning.

 

What you bring to the team:

  • Experience in learning & development, capability, or HR within aged care, community services, or a related sector.
  • Strong facilitation, instructional design, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance and workforce training requirements in aged care and/ or community services settings.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to influence and inspire staff at all levels.
