People & Culture Officer - short-term opportunity until 20 December

Join our close knit team that supports our services and staff from our office at Milton (you can work hybrid office-at home). Your team is the first point of contact representing our People & Culture service, and you play a role in supporting our employees so they can service our clients and communities.

Our services include retirement living and aged care, youth, family, mental health, and disability support. About the Opportunity

This is a short-term opportunity, but it will be packed with valuable experiences across the full life cycle of human resources and within the human services and not for profit sector. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all human resources enquiries, managing multiple communication channels and providing support to both employees and managers. You will coordinate, produce, receive, and file all employment documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy and quality standards. Facilitating onboarding and off-boarding processes, you will play a key role in the employee lifecycle. General reporting and active participation in team meetings and projects will also be part of your responsibilities. 

 

About You 

As a People & Culture Officer, you will have a keen eye for detail, great organisational skills, and the ability to work to agreed timelines. You will be a problem solver, able to prioritise workloads, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders is second nature to you, and you thrive in a supportive team environment. 

You may be an experienced administrator/coordinator or you may be studying toward qualifications in Business or Human Resources. Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is important. You will bring a flexible attitude, and a commitment to providing a thorough service.
