We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead kitchen operations at St Andrew's Aged Care in Tallebudgera. If you’re ready to combine your culinary skills with leadership in a values-based aged care environment, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Employment Type: Fixed-term, Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Contract Duration: 12-month maternity relief contract from mid-July 2025 to August 2026

About The Role:
As Head Chef, you will have the responsibility to run your own kitchen and service, oversee approximately 72 covers each service of breakfast, lunch and dinner across the facility.

  • Manage all aspects of meal preparation and presentation for residents
  • Lead and support the kitchen team in delivering efficient food services
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance with nutrition standards
  • Design menus that are varied, innovative, and resident-informed
  • Oversee stock management, budgeting and cost controls
  • Work closely with care and hotel services teams to respond to dietary needs
  • Represent the service as Food Safety Officer and promote continuous improvement 

About You:

  • Significant experience in commercial cookery (serving large groups)
  • Strong leadership skills in managing kitchen staff and performance
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP compliance
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening or Police Check
  • Queensland Driver’s Licence
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience in aged care or healthcare settings
