Grants & Fundraising Lead

Job No: SUPGFL202623929
Location: Milton

Role: Grants & Fundraising Lead
Location: Milton, Queensland (with flexible working arrangements)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Great fundraising begins with purpose.

In this role, you'll enable the people and communities we serve to flourish by creating meaningful opportunities for others to invest in our purpose and impact. At Lutheran Services, you'll help grow and diversify the funding that enables us to strengthen services and achieve our 2030 goals to support more people in more locations. You'll lead fundraising across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, private ancillary funds, grants and other giving streams, building a sustainable pipeline for future growth.

The purpose you'll bring to life:

Lutheran Services is one of Queensland’s longest-established not-for-profit aged care and community services providers. For more than 90 years, we’ve supported Queenslanders across aged care, retirement living, home care, disability, youth and family, mental health and domestic violence services.

From grassroots beginnings to an organisation spanning more than 25 locations, we’ve continued to grow and evolve. At the heart of that growth is a simple purpose: helping people pursue the life they hope for and creating communities where wellbeing, individuality, purpose, belonging and moments of shared joy can flourish.

As we pursue the ambitious goals of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, one thing remains unchanged: our heart for the people we serve.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Customer, Marketing and Communications, you will lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Lutheran Services Fundraising Strategy 2025–2030. You'll be energised by building on strong foundations to develop funding pipelines, establish partnerships and lead fundraising activity that supports our strategic priorities and purpose. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and optimise our Fundraising Strategy 2025–2030, delivering against agreed fundraising targets.
  • Build and manage a strong funding pipeline across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, private ancillary funds, grants, staff giving and other fundraising streams.
  • Develop compelling grant applications, proposals and business cases that clearly demonstrate need, impact and alignment.
  • Grow relationships with funders, donors, corporate partners and philanthropic networks.
  • Oversee broader fundraising streams including bequests and general fundraising.
  • Build fundraising capability across Lutheran Services, including growing and leading a team as the function develops.
  • Represent Lutheran Services as a fundraising ambassador across philanthropic, corporate and grant-making networks.

About You

You know successful fundraising is about more than securing funding. It's about understanding what matters to people, building trusted relationships and connecting opportunities with purpose. You align with our values and ethos of service and bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience across fundraising, grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships or business development.
  • A demonstrated track record of securing significant funding from philanthropic, corporate or government sources.
  • Experience developing and leading successful fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and donor communications.
  • The ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders, funders and partners.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including managing income targets, budgets, performance and return on investment.

Why You'll Love Working With Us You'll join a purpose-driven organisation where your work can help unlock new opportunities for the people and communities we serve.

  • Meaningful work that contributes to stronger communities.
  • Salary packaging $15,900 benefits to increase your take-home pay.
  • Flexible working arrangements.

About Us

We draw on our rich Lutheran tradition of caring for everyone - the individual, family and the community. We support older people, young people and their families, people living with a disability or mental illness, and families experiencing domestic violence and hardship.

We are committed to providing safe, respectful and inclusive environments where our staff, residents, clients, children and young people are protected from harm. Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility, and we promote a culture where the safety, wellbeing and rights of children are always a priority.

Together with the congregations that founded us, we've been serving Queenslanders since 1935. We are a not-for-profit organisation with more than 2,200 dedicated people, working across more than 20 sites from South-East to Central Queensland.
