Maintenance & Grounds Officer – Aged Care Facility 

 

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities through proactive maintenance and repair work. 

Location: Trinder Park Aged Care, Woodridge - QLD 
Role Type:
Full Time | Monday to Friday 

Remuneration: $29.45 - $31.11 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Staff discounts & benefits

About The Role: 
In this hands-on role, you’ll manage the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and external cleaning
  • Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
  • Managing external contractors and minor building projects
  • Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
  • Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Gardening experience essential; aged care experience desirable

About You:

  • Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
  • A team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.
  • Valid Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Valid open Queensland Driver’s Licence
