Senior Maintenance & Grounds Officer

Full Time | Dual Site Role

Locations: Trinder Park (Woodridge) & St Andrew's (Tallebudgera)
Hours:
Mon - Wed (Woodridge) | Thu – Fri (Tallebudgera) | 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Remuneration: $32.18 - $33.26 ph + Super + Salary Packaging+ Access to staff discounts & benefits  

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance & Grounds Officer to oversee and deliver high-quality maintenance and grounds services across two Retirement Living communities. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with residents, site leaders, and external contractors.

You will play a key role in ensuring our villages are safe, functional, and well-presented, while contributing to a positive resident experience and supporting compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver planned and reactive maintenance and grounds works across both sites
  • Support the development and implementation of maintenance schedules
  • Maintain accurate maintenance systems, records, and reporting
  • Undertake hands-on maintenance work aligned with your skills and qualifications
  • Liaise with contractors, trades, engineers, and suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels and order tools, equipment, and chemicals as required
  • Support fire safety compliance, servicing schedules, and documentation
  • Actively participate in WHS practices, including contractor compliance
  • Provide advice to the Retirement Living Manager on building and maintenance projects
  • Participate in on-call arrangements as required

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or strong experience in maintenance and grounds services
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar senior or lead maintenance role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused approach, ideally within retirement living or aged care
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Desirable: Experience in a not-for-profit or retirement living environment
