Are you an experienced Chef or Cook looking for stable part‑time hours, no late nights, and meaningful work?

Zion Aged Care in Nundah is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Chef / Cook to join our welcoming kitchen team. You’ll prepare nutritious, home‑style meals for residents while enjoying a set roster and the benefits of working for a not‑for‑profit aged care provider.

The Roster

This is one permanent role working 69 hours per fortnight with a predictable schedule.

Chef shifts (40 hours per fortnight)
Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Catering support shifts (29 hours per fortnight)
Every Friday and Saturday

No late nights
Consistent fortnightly pattern

What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for aged care residents
Supporting meal service and plating for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Catering to dietary requirements and food preferences
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
Assisting with stock control and kitchen operations
Working collaboratively with catering staff and care teams

This role suits a Chef or Cook who enjoys variety, teamwork and cooking food that genuinely makes a difference to people’s day.

About You

Trade qualified (Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience)
Experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care, health, hospitality or large‑scale catering desirable)
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Reliable, team‑focused and resident‑centred in your approach
Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

A Queensland Driver Licence is required.
